Written on the walls or written in the stars?
On predictions, forecasts, prophecies and common sense.
As I wrote in another post on this very site, the advantage of writing regularly is that I can almost always check how accurate I was in what I predicted. That was the case here too.
'Merkel shivered and almost fainted today at a meeting with the comedian turned president of Ukraine.
She attributed it to the strong sun and after drinking three glasses of water she calmed down. That's how it usually goes with hangovers.
Zelensky, the new president, joked that "I don't know why she shivered, she was safe, next to me".
I think Madame trembled more for the past and the future than for the present.
In the past she fucked up by supporting the Maidan coup. In the future she will pay for the shit she did in the Maidan coup.
In the present, she doesn't know what to do either to erase the past or to avoid future consequences of the shit she's done.
Zelensky plays along because he can't be held responsible for the past and hasn't yet realised what the future holds.'
I don't consider myself a prophet. If anything, I read the writing on the walls, the starry writing is too mysterious for me. I place what I wrote five years ago somewhere between prognostication and common sense, although unfortunately today that sense has become uncommon, distorted as it has been by the brainwashing of the mass media.
In short, I think that what I write about so often, and which is happening, would not belong to the order of inevitabilities in a normal era. The problem is that we live in an atypical era whose mechanisms for producing events (actions and reactions) have been so rigged that it would be difficult for them to produce different results.
Everything happens as if the protagonists, main actors, secondary actors and extras all got on a treadmill to fulfil a pre-written script, with no room for improvisation or any other unexpected action. This mechanised normality cannot therefore produce anything unexpected.
Look at what happened, for example, when after a few months of war, Zelensky was prepared to sign the peace agreement after the Istanbul negotiations. Do you remember what happened? Simple: Boris Johnson turned up in Kiev and shouted: 'Cut'.
In the following scenes of the 'film', everyone obediently returned to the script.
In short: the predictability of political events in the West is the result of a rigid script, placed in front of actors who have been stripped of any autonomy. No gesture, no unexpected word is allowed.
And so anyone who knows the mechanisms of this form of production can predict with relative certainty what will happen in the short, medium and often even long term.
