Three empires set out in search of a problem and they found it.

(Or the danger of triangles)

What are these Empires? Turkey, the USA and… Israel. Here you will tell me that Israel wants to be an Empire (the dream of Greater Israel, whose map Bibi Netanyahu has already presented) but it is not yet. Well, territorially speaking this is true. But there is still the financial issue and there is no doubt about who reigns supreme, even in the USA.

The problem is found and there is no possible cooperation between these Empires because their interests are not accommodating in any type of consensual agreement because:

1- Turkey wants to eliminate the same Kurds that the US claims to defend and cannot leave its new protectorate at the mercy of the Israelis.

2- The Israelites cannot allow either the caliphate or Ottoman expansion. After all, all the land they dominate today, including Jerusalem, was once owned by the Turks.

3- The presence of Israelis in extinct Syria is not good medicine for Americans and maintaining possession of Syrian oil is only possible by antagonizing Turkey.

When it comes to territorial issues (and the material resources contained therein), there has never been a peaceful way to resolve them: there is a stubborn historical persistence of armed struggle for every piece of valuable land. And ALL that land is valuable, at least in strategic terms.

So what about Russia, you might ask? Well, this one was invited by the Turks to stay at their bases. But the Russians are already looking to more peaceful pastures. Syrian naval bases were important to the Russian pivot to Africa.

But there are other places that are perhaps more logical: Libya, Egypt or even Ethiopia, the latter two already members of BRICS. Erdogan would prefer the Russians to stay, to counterbalance the American presence in the region, but Putin has no reason to indulge him: after all, the sultan-to-be has made his bed, he may as well lie in it and that won't keep anyone in the Kremlin awake at night.

Quais são esses Impérios? a Turquia, os EUA e… Israel. Aqui vocês dir-me-ao que Israel deseja ser um Império (o sonho do Grande Israel, cujo mapa Bibi Netanyahu já apresentou) mas ainda não é. Bom, territorialmente falando isso é verdade. Mas ainda há a questão financeira e aí não há dúvidas sobre quem impera, mesmo nos EUA.

O problema está encontrado e não há cooperação possível entre esses Impérios porque seus interesses não são acomodáveis em nenhum tipo de acordo consensual porque:

1- A Turquia quer eliminar os mesmos curdos que os EUA dizem defender e não pode deixar seu novo protectorado à mercê dos israelitas.

2- Os israelitas não podem permitir nem o califado nem a expansão otomana. Afinal, toda a terra que hoje dominam, incluindo Jerusalém, já foi posse dos turcos

3- A presença dos israelitas na extinta Síria não é boa medicina para os americanos
e a manutenção da posse do petróleo sírio só é possível hostilizando a Turquia.

Tratando-se de questões territoriais (e os recursos materiais neles contidos), até hoje nunca houve um meio pacífico de as resolver: há uma persistência histórica teimosa de luta armada por cada pedaço de terra valiosa. E TODA aquela terra é valiosa, quanto mais não seja em termos estratégicos.

Então e a Rússia, perguntar-me-ão? bom, essa foi convidada pelos turcos a ficar nas suas bases. Mas os russos já olham para pastagens mais pacíficas. As bases navais sírias eram importantes para o pivô russo para África. Mas há outros lugares talvez mais lógicos: a Líbia, o Egipto ou mesmo a Etiópia, estes dois últimos já membros dos BRICS.

Erdogan preferiria que os russos ficassem, para contrabalançar a presença americana na região mas Putin não tem razões para lhe fazer a vontade: afinal o pretendente a sultão fez a sua cama, pode bem deitar-se nela que isso não tira o sono a ninguém no Kremlin.
