Half a week of unusual things

DOGE 'broke down' the doors of FBI headquarters to obtain the names of approximately 5,000 agents who worked on the cases of January 6, 2021 (the invasion of the Capitol in Washington). This happened because the agency refused to reveal details about the names of its agents involved in the process, after being subpoenaed to do so by the Justice Department. So, we already know who will investigate the investigators. Now it remains to be seen who will investigate the investigators' investigators. Will that day come?

Several thousand USAID employees who were working in other countries will now return to the United States. Many of them have experience in carrying out coups d'état. Will they use their knowledge to organize a color revolution at home? it would be fun!

Zelensky is used to disposing of what is not his: he did so with the money intended for Ukraine (what was given and what was borrowed) and more recently he proposed handing over the country's rare earths to the United States. Trump says he is interested but perhaps he does not know that most of these rare minerals are in territories that are already in Russian possession. It is natural that Zelensky would tell him: there you have it, now you Americans have to go and get it. In any case, Trump will want a president legitimized by elections to make this donation, in case someone later says that the comedian was not mandated to make such a deal. So Zalensky's offer may backfire on him this time too.

Not that I'm a fan of Elon Musk but I find it strange that Democrats are now saying he wasn't elected to his DOGE duties. In fact, he had been appointed to this supervisory role even before the elections, that is, he was part of Trump's 'package' of promises. George Soros or his heir Alex have never been mentioned by Democratic candidates, which has not stopped them from acting openly alongside Democratic administrations.

It's only Wednesday but hardly anyone will make a more stupid statement than Mark Rutte this week, even in an age where stupidity abounds. He said the Front in Ukraine was not moving in the right direction. I could also say that Ukrainian soldiers were advancing…towards Kiev.

Meia semana de coisas insólitas

O DOGE ‘arrombou’ as portas da sede do FBI para obter os nomes de aproximadamente 5.000 agentes que trabalharam nos casos de 6 de janeiro de 2021 (a invasão do Capitólio em Washington). Isso aconteceu porque a agência se recusou a revelar detalhes sobre os nomes .de seus agentes envolvidos no processo, depois de intimada a fazê-lo pelo Departamento da Justiça.

Então, já sabemos quem vai investigar os investigadores. Falta agora saber quem vai investigar os investigadores dos investigadores. Chegará esse dia?

Alguns milhares de funcionários da USAID que trabalhavam noutros países vão agora regressar aos EUA. Muitos deles têm experiência em dar golpes de Estado. Será que vão usar seus conhecimentos para organizar uma revolução colorida em casa? seria divertido!

Zelensky está habituado a dispor daquilo que não é seu: fê-lo com o dinheiro destinado à Ucrânia (o que foi dado e o que foi emprestado) e mais recentemente propôs entregar as terras raras do país aos EUA. Trump diz que está interessado mas talvez não saiba que a maior parte desses minérios raros estão em territórios que já estão na posse dos russos. É natural que Zelensky lhe diga: pronto, estão dados, agora vocês americanos têm de ir lá buscá-los. De qualquer forma, Trump vai querer um presidente legitimado por eleições para efectuar essa doação, não vá alguém dizer mais tarde que o comediante não estava mandatado para fazer tal negócio. Portanto, a oferta de Zelensky pode desta vez voltar-se contra ele próprio.

Não é que eu seja fã de Elon Musk mas acho estranho que os Democratas agora digam que ele não foi eleito para suas funções no DOGE. Na verdade ele tinha sido indicado para tal papel fiscalizador mesmo antes das eleições, ou seja, fazia parte do ‘pacote’ de promessas de Trump. Já George Soros ou seu herdeiro Alex nunca foram mencionados pelos candidatos democratas, o que não os impediu de agirem abertamente ao lado das administrações democratas.

É apenas quarta-feira mas dificilmente alguém fará uma declaração mais estúpida do que a de Mark Rutte esta semana, mesmo numa Era em que a estupidez é abundante. Ele disse que a a Frente na Ucrânia não se estava a mover na direcção certa. Também poderia dizer que os soldados ucranianos estavam a avançar…em direcção a Kiev.
