A small step back for Zelensky

A huge retreat for his supporters.

And on the 4th day Zelensky did not resurrect, he only half apologized, said he wanted peace and therefore would sign the document he refused to sign 3 times. So, the comedy continues but it is no longer him or his amateur team who write the script.

There is collateral damage and I am not referring here to the naive people who rushed to celebrate Zelensky’s ‘dignity’, they don’t count for anything. Oh yes, his surrender brought him - and the European leaders, plus a Canadian - back to their natural stature.

After all, so much noise for nothing! Indeed, if it was going to end like this, it would have been better for all of them to have spared themselves so much shame and even - perhaps - rewound the triumphalist speech they had been giving for 3 years, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, saying 'now Russia is really in tatters'. The usual imbeciles would have believed it and they would have been spared from going through yet another depression.

That would be asking too much, of course. They will probably still do that, however, now that everything has become very clear because the important thing is not to win either the war or the peace but to convince their most idiotic subjects that in the end 'the good guys will win', just like in the movies.

Deep down, I believe, everyone breathes a sigh of relief because no one really wanted the war to continue and certain bravado, if carried out, would end up precipitating the more than certain downfall of the pathetic ‘leaders’.

But this will leave marks. For starters, Zelensky will concede to Trump what he had already conceded to Starmer. Macron will feel even more spiteful than the British since he was never even invited to eat such a cake. Meloni has already said that he would never send soldiers and Merz…well, what can he say? He hasn't even taken office yet and he was certainly happy that Scholz had to take his last sad walk, a role identical, in fact, to that of Trudeau.

And so, even the ‘famous’ European peace proposal (with Canada on board) went up in smoke before it was even presented to Trump who, in any case, would never have paid any attention to it.

Um pequeno passo atrás para Zelensky

Uma enorme returada para seus apoiantes.

E ao 4º dia Zelensky não ressuscitou, apenas pediu meia desculpa, disse que queria a paz e por isso assinaria o que se recusou a assinar 3 vezes. Assim sendo, a comédia continua mas já não é ele nem sua equipa amadora que escreve o guião.

Há danos colaterais e não me refiro aqui aos ingénuos que se apressaram a celebrar a ‘dignidade’ de Zelensky, esse não contam para nada. Oh sim, a sua rendição devolveu-o - e também aos líderes europeus, mais um canadiano - a sua estatura natural. Afinal, tanto barulho para nada!

Efectivamente, se era para acabar assim, mais valia todos eles terem-se poupado a tantas vergonhas e terem até - quiçá - rebobinado o discurso triunfalista como andaram 3 anos a debitar, 24 horas por dia, 7 dias por semana dizendo ‘agora é que a Rússia vai ver como elas lhe mordem’ Os imbecis do costume acreditariam e escusava, todos eles, de passar por mais uma depressão.

Isso seria porém pedir demais, é claro. É provável que ainda o façam, no entanto, agora que tudo se tornou muito claro porque o importante não é ganhar nem a guerra nem a paz mas convencer seus súbditos mais idiotas que no fim ‘os bons vão ganhar’, tal como acontece nos filmes.

No fundo, acredito, todos respiram de alívio porque ninguém queria de facto a continuação na guerra e certas bravatas, se fossem cumpridas, acabariam por precipitar a queda mais que certa dos patéticos ‘líderes’.

Mas isto vai deixar marcas. Para começar, Zelensky cederá a Trump o que já tinha cedido a Starmer. Macron, sentir-se-á despeitado ainda mais que so britâsnico já que nunca foi sequer convidado para comer tal bolo.

Meloni já disse que jamais enviaria soldados e Merz…bom que pode ele dizer? ainda nem tomou posse e certamente se sentiu feliz por Scholz ter de fazer seu último passeio dos tristes, papel idêntico aliás, ao de Trudeau.

E assim, até a ‘famosa’ proposta de paz europeia ( com o Canadá a bordo) se desfez em fumo antes mesmo de ser apresentada a Trump que, de qualquer forma, nunca lhe ligaria nenhum.
